ANNOUNCES THE CALL FOR PROPOSALS UNDER "BIOTECHNOLOGY CAREER ADVANCEMENT AND RE-ORIENTATION PROGRAMME FOR WOMEN SCIENTISTS'

To enhance the participation of Women Scientists in Biotechnology Research, the Department of Biotechnology announces the Call for Proposals under the Bio-CARe scheme for women scientists. The programme is targetted towards Career Development of employed/ unemployed women scientists. The scheme is open for all areas of Life Science / Biotechnology (including agriculture, veterinary science and medicine). Age limit for application has been kept as 55 to ensure maximum impact. The programme aims at providing support for Research project grants to women- scientists (employed & unemployed) for whom it is the first extramural research grant (Women Scientists who have received any earlier grant from any Government Funding Agency as PI are not eligible). The purpose is to build capacities for women scientists so as to help them undertake independent R&D projects. It would also be a good opportunity for Women Scientists who have had a Career Break to get into the main stream of research. Interested scientists may submit their proposal through e-Promis portal of DBT (http://dbtepromis.gov.in). Applications are invited from qualified Indian citizens far appointment to post of Translator in the High Court of Kerala. Applications should be submitted in the prescribed format which is available in the website (www. highcourtofkerala.nic.in) and notice board of the High Court. Applications in the prescribed format prepared on good quality A4 size paper in accordance with the instructions in the notification in the website should be sent to the High Court by post.

4. Number of vacancies: 1 (ONE). Vacancies that may arise during the period of validity of the ranked list shall also be filled up from the list.
5. Method of appointment: Direct Recruitment
6. Mode of Selection: Selection shall be made on the basis of Translation test (translation from Malayalam into English and vice versa) and interview.
7. Age limit: Candidates should have been born between 02.01.1977 and 01.01.1995 (both days inclusive). Please see detailed notification in the website for age relaxation admissible to SCI ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen candidates.
8. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in any subject awarded or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala with not less than second class for the optional subject.
In the case of SC/ST candidates, holders of Bachelor's degree in the third class are also qualified to apply. The candidates appointed to the service will have to acquire the following qualifications within the period of probation:
1 .High Court Office Procedure Test
2.Account Test (Lower)
3.Judicial Test or Civil Judicial Test and Criminal Judicial Test (Law Graduates are exempted from passing this test).

Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. in Library Science. Should have 3 year experience in documentation in the field of Art & Culture after attaining Ph. D. Experience in Visual Communication is desirable.
Excellent communication skill and working knowledge of Computer applications are essential for all the candidates. Knowledge of Hindi and more than one South Indian Languages is desirable.The selection Is purely on contract basis for a period of 6 months. The six monthly contact period could be extended up to a maximum of 3 years OR the incumbent attaining the age of 65 OR on completion of the Project whichever is earlier depending up on the performance of the individual and requirement. The Head Quarters would be SZCC, Thanjavur for all the above assignments.
